More than 250 people have been taken into custody in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of continuing federal border security actions, according to government statements.

Charlotte represents the most recent American city to experience increased federal deployment, following similar operations in bigger metropolitan areas like Chicago and Los Angeles previously. Administration representatives have stated that those arrested include persons with illegal activities and organized crime affiliates.
